Minecraft Pocket Edition v0.15.0
Minecraft Pocket Edition v0.15.0 refers to the mobile version of the popular Minecraft game which was developed by Mojang AB. It is in almost all ways, similar to the PC version only that you can take it with you wherever you go and enjoy the game at whichever time.
The main objective of the game is for a player to create some form of virtual reality in an environment that is like a sandbox. It has the elements of survival present in some game versions such as hunger, brewing, and dimensions such as the nether, though no bosses are included in the game. The multiplayer mode allows for different platforms to be used, as long as each of the touch-screen devices can run the Minecraft pocket edition.
Most of the elements are adapted to the mobile gameplay standards with all interaction being done through touch-screens. Some of the features were revised in order to make up for the disadvantages brought about by touch-screen. For example, MATTIS is used for the crafting system and long-tapping an icon on the hot-bar is how a player disposes off an item. Aimed blocks are highlighted as opposed to being outlined, to improve their visibility.
There are three different ways of connecting on the multiplayer mode;
- Through LAN. This allows up to a maximum of five players on one server.
- Through pocket realms.
- Through an external server created by the user.
Minecraft PE Differences
Among the things that differentiate the Minecraft pocket edition from the PC edition are the revised terrain, graphics that are more vibrant, and some exclusive items. It is expected that the development of the game will soon start to have its own progress heading in a totally different direction from the PC edition.
Most of the versions feature a control pad located at the bottom left, for controlling movement. Additional 2 strafing buttons will appear during forward motion. At the bottom right of the screen is where the jump button is located, with sneak being at the center of the D-pad. You need to double tap the sneak button in order to achieve sneaking. You can swap the locations of the sneak and jump buttons from the options menu. Placing a block is done by tapping the screen on the location desired.
